This was my partner and I's second time returning to Ad Maiora. Everything was great the first time we went apart from the bread being far too salty. We put it down to just eating from a particularly salty batch of bread that was made but unfortunately on our return the second time, the bread was just as unpleasantly salty! It's a shame because this ruins what is otherwise a very delicious array of sandwiches with a great selection of fresh fillings. Another observation is that there is limited seating available even if you do intend to dine in, so bear that in mind as we had to take our sandwiches to a nearby coffee chain and eat there instead. As for the pricing, the sandwiches are on the expensive side at around £15 each. I wouldn’t say they aren’t good value for money given the quality and generous fillings, but they’re definitely priced more in line with what you’d expect to pay in London than in Manchester. Have been going here since they had their shop in Ancoats, have noticed the portion sizes have got smaller but prices have stayed the same, not as good about for money as it used to be. Amount of ingredients varies each time as well. However service is always friendly and speedy. Food: 3 Service: 4
