Customer service definitely needs improvement. We went for the Iftar buffet and were asked to sit at a table right in front of the cash register, even though many other tables were empty. It felt like the worst spot in the restaurant and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When we politely asked if we could move to another table, the staff initially refused and said the other tables were reserved. I was a bit surprised by that, especially since this is a restaurant next to a grocery store and it didn’t seem like a place where specific tables would be reserved. Eventually, another staff member allowed us to move to a corner table, but by then the situation already felt awkward. The buffet itself is okay, but the dishes are placed in a corner with very limited space, which makes it a bit crowded when people are trying to serve themselves. They also provide very tiny cups for water. Considering people have been fasting all day, refilling such small cups becomes a bit frustrating. They do not have kid’s menu and if your kid doesn’t eat spicy food then it’s a bit hard to choose from the menu. My kid had fried chicken and fries, and there was no dipping sauce with it. For ketchup, you do have to ask for it at the cash register and then it’s given in a very small amount in a small bowl every time you ask. I had visited before when it was called Al Falah Restaurant, and the experience back then was much more welcoming. I am not sure if this is a new management or new staff. They could really work on improving their customer service. The food itself is okay. Like many Bangladeshi dishes, it tends to be on the greasy side. The French fries had dark grease on them, which made it seem like the frying oil may not be changed very often. I would probably recommend their Chinese dishes over some of the other options. If I decide to go back in the future, I would most likely just order takeout. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

I never write reviews but what happened to me today, i have to write to warn others. I ordered a khichuri, kacchi biryani and polau roast. They sent me 3 polau roast cause they didnt have the other items. The chicken roast were fully undercooked, it was red inside. I ordered 2 malai chops but was sent 2 gulab jamuns. I also ordered a haleem which was less than half full inside the container, barely enough for one person. Every single dish was frozen cold. Very, very disappointed that this is the quality of food they are serving.

Adda bangla cafe isn’t a Bengali restaurant making just Indian food like butter chicken or tikka paneer like other Bengali spots. They make authentic Bengali cuisines, like Kacchi biriyani, beef chaap, fuchka etc. What they bring to the Atlanta Bengali food scene is authenticity. Their food has a kind of “secret sauce” that you won’t find anywhere else in the greater Atlanta area. You’ll take a bite of the food and feel that this is restaurant quality. The owners are very knowledgeable and it shows in their cooking. More so, the staff is very friendly and the place is kept very clean, something you’ll find many other spots struggle to do. My only criticism may be that the portion sizes of the meat in the biriyanis can be improved and to make the rice a little less dry. Here are the few things i tried and their ratings Fuchka 8/10 - The sauces served with the fuchka were too watery and could use more masala for taste. But the puri had a nice crunch and the filling was cooked perfectly Kacchi 9/10 - No complaints other than just a little bit more meat portion . The jaali kebab served with it is very well seasoned and goes great with the rice. Morog polao 9/10 - Same as kacchi, need more quantity of the chicken Jhal muri 10/10 - I’m happy they just have this. Really great quick snack Beef kebab roll 10/10 - Super fresh beef kebab wrapped in their fresh house paratha Kaata masala chicken and beef 9/10 - Just personally I prefer boneless meat because it affects my portion sizes for protein. But the taste is great and served with paratha or naan Beef sheik kebab 10/10 - had this just the other day with naan. Served with side of pickled onions and you can ask for a side of raita as well. Super fresh and fluffy naan and the meat was marinated evenly with it being very tender and juicy Bhaatey bangali 8/10 - This one is straight up authentic bangali food that all Bengalis grow up eating. Served with a big plate of rice, a bowl of salad, daal/lentil, chicken/fish, aloo bhorta/mashed potao. I had this with chicken and felt like there wasn’t enough chicken served. The dish itself wasn’t very heavy but filling. Tea 10/10 - last but not least an essential for all my meals. I love what they did with their cha recipe. It is very milky but that’s how I prefer it. Ever since their opening I’ve been there every day and been taking my friends and family with me Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
