Addendum in Yountville is a charming spot that delivers fine dining–level service in a casual setting behind the main Ad hoc restaurant. It’s only open certain days of the year so check before you come. The atmosphere is beautiful, peaceful, relaxed, and perfect for enjoying a sunny Napa Valley afternoon. The fried chicken was well-seasoned and flavorful, with the kind of spice and balance you’d expect from Thomas Keller’s team. That said, it did have a bit too much breading and was slightly oilier than I expected, which kept it from being a perfect dish. Still, it’s a quality meal with great service and a lovely ambiance, making it well worth a visit.
