The previous operator of the cafe on platform 2 allowed passengers to use the indoor waiting area even when the cafe was closed (on Sundays for example). According to SWR these people don't - what a shame.

Location Eastleigh railway station.Only one cafe is now open , which is in the booking hall.Until passengers return in larger numbers, cafe now normally opens only in the morning from 0600hrsThe cafe in the waiting room on platforms Two and Three is currently closed., until further notice.

Asked to fill up my re-usable water bottle from the tap and was told by the staff member "we don't do that" - apparently he had specifically been told by his boss that it's a company policy not to do so. When we as a society are trying to reduce single use plastic this is disgusting, money grabbing and a coffee shop not allowing someone drinking water is unacceptable. I will not ever be giving them my custom and encourage others to do the same.
