My wife tried their breakky fried rice option and she loved it. The atmosphere is nice. Veggo options are limited. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Panini

Very mixed feelings about Against the Grind. Pros: great quality food, great selection of sweets, Campos coffee roasted and done right. The inside sitting area is cozy and spacious, and plenty of external sitting area on a quiet street. Also love the deli where you can buy freshly cut cold meets, cheese and other deli products. 5 out of 5 for food, coffee and atmosphere. Cons: the service is inefficient and this seems to be consistent over a period of time. It takes a long time to get a coffee and/or the food when having it in. Last time we asked for table water several times and took a while to get it. 2 out of 5 for the service. Hope the service aspect can be improved as otherwise it is a great place!

We appreciate the great review in regards to our food. However It’s unfortunate you were compelled to give us a 3 star review overall because your water and coffee took too long. Its sad that our patrons aren’t able to appreciate the difficulties our industry has faced in the last 3 years and especially in regards to sourcing staff. The shortages are a very real and constant problem. We do our best to get your food and coffee to you on time, but we are very busy at times and coffee can take a while. Please appreciate how hard we work to deliver a great product and think twice before you rush to review us poorly on the internet.
