The food was excellent, especially for the special menu they had one night while we were there. The duck confit enchiladas were a highlight, as well as the soft shell crab taco. Service was also top-notch. The host, Miroslava, it’s very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend eating at agave at at least once while you stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is our first time at this Excellence property. On our 2nd day we decided to have lunch at Agave. The decor is beautiful and makes you feel like you are actually sitting at an outdoor cafe. You can tell a lot of thought and care were used when designing it. The food was outstanding! However, what made our experience so great was the staff. In particular, Belen. She took our drink order and when we asked for a certain type of tequila she went out of her way to show us all the different types and let us sample them. She took the time to make sure we were happy with our meal and made us feel like we came for lunch but we're leaving with a new friend. If you have a chance, stop in and say hello to her, you will be very happy you did. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stayed at the Excellence Playa Mujeres hotel and dine at this restaurant twice because it was amazing. The hostess Seline was very kind and friendly. She recommended us dishes like the Enmoladas( 3 different sauces), Lamb barbecue, Rib eye, churro with ice cream. Our server whom I can’t remember her name so sorry. She was also very attentive and recommend the kiwi margarita which was the only drink I kept ordering. This restaurant is very authentic Mexican dishes with a twist of modern culinary but never losses its Mexican taste. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Yes they also had plant based menu
