I visited Agha Turkish Restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The ambiance was lovely, with great vibes, and we appreciated the ample free parking. We had made a reservation beforehand, which was a good call as the place seemed busy. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. We weren’t offered water at the start and had to request it only after our meal was done. We ordered three mocktails: the Mango Margarita tasted like frozen mango juice, the Pina Colada was decent, and the ‘fresh lemonade’ seemed like a prepackaged mix rather than fresh. For the mains, we had the Manti, which was good. The Iskender was a bit disappointing—the meat lacked flavour, though the yogurt was fresh and the tomato sauce felt minimal. The Chicken Doner plate, served with bulgur, was decent, but the bulgur was dry, and the chicken shavings were a bit bland. The meal felt overpriced for what we received—three mains and three mocktails came to $127, including tip. For the price, I expected more in terms of both flavour and service.
