Both Casa della Liberta and Ai Giardini are recommended for visiting. Come to this place and taste Italian and Japanese cuisines. My experience at the restaurant last night was far from pleasant. Although there were few people, my friend and I had to wait half an hour just to order. The service was visibly slow and it seemed like the staff were disinterested in providing us with a positive experience. When it came to the bill, we were told they were offering us two bitters, which seemed like a nice gesture. However, when a friend of ours joined us I asked if we could have a bitter for him too, obviously paying for it. My friend, for whom the bitter was originally intended, tells the waiter Sado that she would have willingly given it to our friend. In the end we found my friend's amaro on the bill that had to be offered, telling us that he drank it and not her . It's not so much about the money but this lack of professionalism and courtesy created an embarrassing situation for a difference of only 5 euros. Furthermore, the waiter, Sado, was quite arrogant and rude. What is even more disappointing is that we have known each other for many years, and seeing such unwelcoming treatment is disappointing. Today, doing your job well is becoming increasingly difficult, but respect and courtesy should be the basis of any activity. For every action there is a reaction. INFORMAL AND QUALITY I had dinner for the first time last night at "Ai Giardini" and I must say that it turned out to be a very positive experience. Location: it is located immediately at the foot of Bergamo Alta near the San Marco hotel, easy to reach by public transport, car or even on foot. On two floors, the restaurant is very dynamic, the furniture is modern and simple in classic New York style, it can accommodate many guests, with the possibility of having an aperitif or even just enjoying the post-dinner mini DJ set. Food: the restaurant menu offers what I would call an ordinary and classic choice, for example paccheri, pasta with cheese and pepper, sliced beef, tartare, gourmet pizza and hamburgers (observing the dishes of the other diners, certainly all of excellent quality) but I am I was intrigued by sushi and therefore decided to order a mixed plate with nighri with salmon, tuna and sea bass (very tasty and well executed), sashimi (the cut was generous and exquisite) and other delicacies. I then decide to taste the eel nighiri and there, I find what in my opinion was the most successful dish: the eel meat was juicy and had a buttery consistency on the palate, the flavor exploded and inebriated the taste buds (I would have eaten some at least ten). The salmon Gunkan flavored with Tabasco are abundant and juicy, to conclude with a divine tuna cirashi. All this was accompanied by an excellent bottle of Gewurztraminer. Service: young, attentive, friendly and prepared. Everyone was very smiling and helpful, from the beginning of the dinner until the end we felt pampered, nothing negative to report. It was an excellent experience and for this reason I decide to give it five stars, I will definitely return and I have already recommended some people to try it.
