Came here for dessert, and ended up ordering a kilo of T-Bone (Fiorentina di fassona) Definitely different from the beef that is in America. It’s mild with a hint of sweetness. The more you chew, the more sweet flavor you will taste from the streak. The outer fat rim was crispy; there’s nothing like crunchy beef fat!! The strawberry panna cotta was delicious. Smooth and not sweet; just how I like it. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I was shocked to see the reviews so low for this restaurant. We visited Venezia in August, towards the end and went to a restaurant recommended by our hotel that was not very good and decided for the rest of our time we will just see the options while walking and on our last day we stumbled upon Ai Scalzi. We were immediately sat and soon after our order was taken. The food came out hot and fresh we got the caprese salad, an italian pizza and the truffle ravioli. Everything was amazing, we sat for about 1-1.5 hours sitting talking making jokes with the waiter. Our waiter was amazing the bluest eyes but interacted with the customers so well doing literal magic tricks. It was a very nice environment, the restaurant was clean and we enjoyed every last bit of food! Highly recommend coming to Ai Scalzi! First impressions not good when we are greeted by a rude waiter who referred to us as mrs all the time. His attitude was awful and he attended to other customers who came after us first. Food came and was cold. Pizza was burnt on the bottom and soggy on top. Forgot part of our order. Explained to another waiter about pizza and missing item. To be fair they didn’t charge for it. Bill was €70 for under whelming food. €13.50 fir a really bad service/cover charge. This restaurant needs to clean up its act and sack a particularly rude waiter. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!
