Very nice sushi restaurant in Casal Paloco. Spacious indoor/outdoor seating, great staff, Max was very friendly and professional. Their sashimi was very good; a mix of thick, fresh, delicious pieces of fish along with scallops and shrimps. Their usuzukuri (blowfish sashimi) was exquisite! Thin savory slices of fugu beautifully served on an ice plate, with its sauce. Their sake was quite nice also, fruitful and fresh! The only downside was the gamberi rossi tartare (red shrimp): the shrimp was fresh yet lacked in flavor, and the avocado base wasn't all that fresh, with pieces of the fruit having turned brown. Otherwise, the meal was very good with some edamame (on the house), wakame salad (a bit sugary for my taste), and a cold Asahi beer. Still a very good experience for any sushi lover spending some time in Casal Paloco! PS. They also serve non sushi dishes (chicken spaghetti, salmon involtini). I went to Akai sushi a few times before reviewing this new restaurant. I could talk about the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the impeccable place where a beautiful "stabilized" Japanese red maple stands out, the friendly atmosphere that makes you feel at ease and never out of place... But the highlight is the food: very fresh sashimi is cut with skill (the tuna belly is worthy of applause), original and delicious uramaki, and for some time Akai sushi has also included ramen in its offering. The proposed menu and the high-quality cellar make eating at Akai sushi an unmissable experience for those who love Japanese cuisine. Well done!
