The seafood here was absolutely top-notch. Service was quick, and the waiting staff took the time to clearly explain each dish we ordered. I was dining with two Japanese friends, so I was truly spoiled by all the beautifully prepared dishes that came out ordered by them. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the prices were fair and reasonable for the quality. Overall, a wonderful izakaya experience that I’d happily return to. Seafood is delicious, whether it's hot pot, sashimi, or other dishes! This is an excellent store! With high hopes in my heart, I headed to Akira, a famous seafood restaurant in Sendagi. As soon as I stepped into the store, I was immediately drawn into the charm of this store, as it had an old-fashioned atmosphere in a good way. On this day, I chose the ``C course,'' which has a particularly good reputation. The first choice was the whelk shellfish and firefly squid. The grains are very large and drink well. The firefly squid is also fresh and great! Although it is simple, it has a rich flavor that has you looking forward to it from the beginning. Afterwards, with a glass of sake in hand, I was presented with the sashimi platter that followed, and the freshness and beauty of it took my breath away. And then there's the extra-large tuna kamayaki. The kama is grilled in a huge amount of oil and is surprisingly delicious! Looks and tastes great! I wanted to try something other than the course, so I had the oyster cream croquette and yellowtail radish. The yellowtail has a whole head inside, which makes a big impact! It's no exaggeration to say that the oyster cream croquette was the MVP of the day, and it was so condensed with the flavor of the oysters that it was amazing! Each and every dish had an exquisite taste, allowing us to fully enjoy the charm of seafood. The climax of the day was the luxurious seafood hotpot, the main course of the Nabe C course. A variety of luxurious ingredients will catch your eye from the moment they are brought to your table. The hotpot was filled with plenty of seafood such as crab, red snapper, cod, oysters, tuna, clams, and milt, and looked luxurious and exciting. This hot pot is special because of the soup stock, and the delicate flavor of each ingredient intertwines with the soup stock to bring out the best of each ingredient. In particular, the plump oysters and rich milt have a particularly impressive flavor in this hotpot. By adding a little yuzu pepper, the flavor becomes even deeper, giving you a warm and satisfying feeling that will make you forget the winter cold. To finish off the hot pot, make the most of the delicious soup stock and make rice porridge. The rice porridge, soaked in the flavor of the dashi stock, was a simple yet satisfying dish, and it was the perfect ending to the Nabe C course. Finally, we finished off today by eating the famous saury onigiri! The meal that day was not only delicious, but also a work of art, where you could feel the deep respect for each ingredient and the skill of the craftsmen who strive to bring out the best in each ingredient. ``Akin'' is a wonderful restaurant that truly deserves to be called an excellent restaurant, where all kinds of seafood, including hot pot and sashimi, are delicious. On this visit, I was able to find a new favorite store. I'm looking forward to trying different seasonal seafood dishes the next time I visit.
