Akira is pretty near Shimokitazawa. Unfortunately, if you look through the guests' comments, the staff is good at this restaurant. Enjoyable service is something that guests would like to improve here. Akira got negative comments because of the cozy atmosphere. But as for the Google rating, this place achieved 4.2.

It’s possible I’m wrong about this.. but I believe I was turned away for being a foreigner, which is not uncommon in Japan. I walked in at 22:40, and there were many locals eating and drinking. This place closes at 3am. And the owner told me they’re closed. Right as I left, an old Japanese man walked in and stayed there. Again, it’s certainly possible I’m wrong. But I doubt it.
