Chiesa San Francesco di Paola ai Monti is what you should see after having a meal at Al Cardello. If you want to try Italian meals, take your chance and come to this restaurant. You can always enjoy tasty filet américain, tomato soup and vegetable pasta at Al Cardello. Order and taste good tiramisu and make a post on Instagram. Delicious limoncello, cordial or grappa are among the best drinks to degust. Visitors don't highly appreciate cappuccino at this place.

Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The friendly hostess welcomes people all year round. Prompt service is what many guests point out characterizing this spot. Most reviewers suppose that the dishes have fair prices. Since the decor is bad, visitors don't really advise this place. Service was phenomenal! The owner, Viviana, spent time with us and all other customers to made sure we had an unforgettable experience. The tomato and cheese plate was super fresh. The bread was out of this world and the beer supper cold! Highly recommend it if you are around the coliseum in Rome. The establishment is been around for over 100 years and the reviews are not fair to the good food and exceptional service of this restaurant. We had a few birds come over to sing and beg for food, exceptional Italian Experience! Meal type: Other Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Laid back service and friendly staff. Waiter was super chilled and served us well, food was hearty and tasty. If you are looking for fine dining don’t go, if you are looking for genuine Rome street restaurant experience then can’t complain. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40

Don’t let this place fool you.. the rating is VERY generous! After walking around the Colosseum and popping down a side street, we stumbled on this quaint little restaurant with an open table.. “lucky us” we thought! It’s uncommon for myself or my wife to go to a restaurant we haven’t read reviews on prior, and our visit to Al Cardello reminded us why it’s so important. I ordered Bruschetta (after 3 days in a row of Caprese I wanted something different) and was offered a “side of cheese” for my appetizer.. I’ve added burrata to my bruschetta at home and figured I’d give it a try. It was a sneaky way for her to add an entire second appetizer (generic caprese covered in salt) to our bill. I ordered Alfredo pasta with chicken. It may have been the most bland dish I’ve ever been served. Most definitely sauce from a jar, with low quality meat and pasta from the back of a cupboard. The “pasta with meatballs” she suggested to my kids had one big chunk of “meat” in it that was mostly cartilage. There were no meatballs. The sauce wasn’t good, neither was the pasta. Surprisingly, my wife said the seafood pasta was pretty decent. The entire time we were in the restaurant we were swatting away mosquitoes. Then they jammed people in the corner next to us with multiple dogs. The dogs were barking and trying to attack one another. Over 10 min after asking for the bill it finally arrived. Over €100 for 3 pasta dishes, 2 appetizers (only ordered 1) and “2 lemonades”. Appalling. If it weren’t for the location making it easy for tourists to stumble upon, this restaurant wouldn’t survive. I hope you see this BEFORE entering and save yourself some heartache and money. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–30
