You can visit this restaurant after seeing NC Auto Racing Walk of Fame. Al Gusto offers Italian meals. Good seafood ravioli deserve ordering. You can order amazing tiramisu. After a long working week, you can taste wonderful wine. The friendly staff meets you at this place all year round. Find out how excellent the service is here. When inside, the atmosphere is nice. Although you should keep in mind that Zomato users gave this spot a below average rating.

We had a better experience here than most other reviewers.  Food was excellent, service was good, setting (old church) was really cool. I knocked a star off because the music they were playing (some sort of Spanish pop) was loud and didn't fit the Italian restaurant vibe, and kind of killed the atmosphere of our date night dinner. But other than that, I dug it.

Can't speak for the food, went today and they appear to not be in business anymore.

Italian's one of those types... the food's either an absolute hit... or a pathetic miss. Same can be said of Indian food and, perhaps to a lesser degree, Mexican food. Just as AUTHENTIC Chinese restaurants put Panda Express to shame, and similar to a Golden Corral's paling in comparison to the hood's trendsetting farm-to-fork eatery, Trattoria Al Gusto does similarly in that you can expect more in terms of "food authenticity" (Olive Garden... who're they?) and "taste execution" (get the hell out, boxed pasta!).
Gusto's crew kickstarted their trattoria about 4 years ago. All hailing from Up North, their dish offerings are genuinely simple, true to form, and thoughtfully presented. Whether you dine during Charlotte's 'Queen's Feast' week or pay a nice Sunday Brunch visit, their entire staff respects the Art of Eating and -- most importantly -- the Appreciation of Delivery. Thus at Gusto, you'll never feel rushed, nor overlooked, nor overstuffed... courses are brought out appropriately and methodically... service is constant and courteous.
I'm glad I happened upon Gusto on one of my commutes through Mooresville. The restaurant's proof that Original Concept restaurants, when done right, can leave an extremely lasting impression. Finally... a #shoutout to the manager, Jamie (or Jaime)... the conversation was great and the wine exactly what I needed. Cheers, brother.
