Delicious and family-owned restaurant for our first night in Rome. The rigatoni alla amatriciana was my favourite dish of our time in Europe so far. Close to the Trevi to feel close to the bustle of the city, but still private enough to enjoy an intimate and tasty dinner. Thanks to Jimmy for the wonderful service! We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Ristorante Pizzeria Al Picchio! The food was excellent across the board, every single dish was packed with incredible, authentic flavors. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. Beyond the meal itself, the service was top-notch: friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. To top it all off, the prices were exceptionally fair for the quality of food and service you get. Special shoutout to their air conditioning! Visiting during a blistering 36°C (97°F) heatwave, stepping into a cool, comfortable dining room made the entire experience pure bliss. If you’re looking for amazing food, great value, and fantastic hospitality, do not miss this spot. We will definitely be back!
