I had a booked a reservation for the lounge. When I entered the lobby, this woman dressed up like it was carnaval came up to me, I tell her the lounge name and she tells me NO? And send me direction to outside. I even showed her where I needed to be, it ended up behind her. But what can I expect, she did not even know the difference between right and left then after much time wasted, I finally get to the place and tell I want to order 2 type of drinks and they messed up the whole order and panicking. What type of service is this? Please re-evaluate your staff because this is not what I expect in a place with such prices, service should’ve been top notch, and it wasn’t at all. Two stars because the Indian man on the boat was nice and helpful.

This place is one of the best restaurants in Dubai. We stayed at the jumeriah beach hotel and came here for lunch. The service was impeccable absolutely the best service I have ever had in a restaurant. The soup starters were so tasty and the baby chicken for mains was out of this world. The club sandwich was very tasty and the deserts fantastic. The best waitresses we have ever had to date and we have frequented many restaurants. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I always visit Al Samar Lounge and enjoy the Eastern ambiance with an oud player and a tabla. It's indescribable, and the musicians it do it take you to another world of happiness. You notice the audience's interaction with the music and singing, the diversity of songs and musical styles, and the refreshing sensation it evokes. It enhances the pleasure of food and drinks. I hesitated to return and experience this atmosphere again many times, but unfortunately, that enchantment was missing. I wonder if this magic can be restored once again. I hope the hotel management can bring back that charm. This place, without Eastern music, doesn't give you the desire to sit and enjoy the lounge, no matter how beautiful it is unless it is accompanied by the nourishment of the soul, which is Eastern music that dates back thousands of years.
