Nestled in the historic Thermae Palace hotel, Brasserie ALBERT in Ostend offers classic Belgian cuisine that transports diners back in time. The ambiance is old-fashioned and elegant, with a touch of grandeur. The interior design is stunning, featuring Art Deco artwork posters and high walls that create a spacious feel. Prices are on the higher end, but the quality of the food and service justifies the cost. The restaurant boasts a beautiful view of the sea and beach, making it a perfect location for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

Some of the must-try dishes include the Smeus starter, a traditional Belgian dish made with grey shrimps, and the perfectly cooked Entrecôte Bleu with green pepper sauce. For dessert, the Dame Blanche is a classic and satisfying choice. The wine selection is excellent and pairs well with the menu. Cocktails and soft drinks are also available for those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages.

The establishment's staff is professional and well-trained, attending to diners' needs with a smile. The service is efficient and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Outdoor seating is not available, but the restaurant's beautiful interior more than makes up for it.

Overall, Brasserie ALBERT is a fine dining spot that offers a taste of Belgium's culinary heritage in an elegant and historic setting.

Food was good but unfortunately cold, steak was ordered medium but came rare and had to be fried. Lobster was tasty but cold, pizza margarita was also tasty but cold. Tea was completely forgotten. The service was poor, very unfriendly, staff very unprofessional, very young staff, 15-17 years old, apparently holiday jobs, 5 employees are at work and only one is allowed to take the order, at least one or two are standing around and drinking water, even though we are already there draw attention to us with hand signals. Overall I can't recommend this restaurant. For these prices you expect a pleasant atmosphere and professional staff. Cleanliness of the employees is also questionable. Wouldn't eat here again.
