Moved to Alpine not long ago. The selection here seems to be okay. However, staff, hit or miss. I wonder if the cashiers are instructed not to bag groceries if customers bring their own bags in. It seems consistent as of late, the cashiers are only willing to ring up your items but not assist or offer to bag. They just stand there and watch. After my 10-12 hour shift at work, I’d just like a little help at the end of my day. I’d be at Food 4 Less if I was in it to bag my own groceries time and time again. Not paying premium prices to have the cashier observe me doing it!

One star is for the deli department at the Alpine store. The meat is never stocked, but i can drive down the hill 40 minutes away to ANY OTHER ALBERTSONS or even Vons and they are all fully stocked.

I love this store, but why cant they train the meat market employess to wrap bacon? I expect my bacon to be wrapped flat, instead I get a BACON BALL. I used to run a grocery dept that sold bacon. I know how much butcher paper and labels cost. The bacon ball always getrs 2 lablels. One with the price and one blank because the employee cannot seem to wrap the bacon and only use one label. I just dont get it. I am going to start asking for my bacon on a styrofoam and wrapped in plastic to try and get it flat. It is just annoying.
