Check the price before you order. Paid 29 dollars for sparkling water and a beer.

Hands down the worst meal in Sydney. Awful experience from start to finish. Had a booking for 7:30pm, got seated in some grotty courtyard, waited 20 mins for someone to come to the table to serve us, no-one came so went to leave and was then offered a table in the front of the restaurant. Placed order and then waited an 1hr 15 mins for food to arrive. Entrees and main course arrived at the same time. Charged $50 for a bottle of Jacob’s Creek Staff were useless, inept at their job. Owner was rude, apparently it was our fault because we came at 7:30! Paid $240 for a crap meal and terrible service. Would not recommend to anyone. I had high hopes for Alchemy Polish Cafe Restaurant, but unfortunately the experience was a bit disappointing overall. The veal schnitzel was the biggest let-down. Instead of being light and crisp, it was heavily soaked in fat, which made it quite unpleasant to eat. A dish like that really relies on a delicate, crunchy coating, so it missed the mark. The signature beer was also served in a slightly odd way — it arrived in a can with the wrong glass, which felt a bit careless for a restaurant that presents itself as a traditional dining spot. On a more positive note, the pork hock was actually quite good. It was well prepared and had good flavour, so that dish stood out as the highlight of the meal. Another thing that detracted from the experience was the menu itself. The pages were sticky with large stains, which immediately felt off-putting and gave a poor first impression before even ordering. Overall, there were a few good elements, but the execution and attention to detail really need improvement to match the expectations the restaurant sets. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. The veal schnitzel is normally one of the dishes our guests enjoy, as it is prepared fresh and in the traditional way, so we regret that it did not come across the way it should have during your visit. Regarding the beer, many traditional Polish beers are served directly from the can together with a glass, but we appreciate your comment and will certainly look at how this is presented to guests. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the pork hock — it is indeed one of the classic dishes we are proud to serve. As for the menu condition, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Sometimes customers spread water over menu and it is problem.Cleanliness and presentation are very important to us, and we will make sure this is addressed. We appreciate your feedback. Running a small, busy restaurant means there are always details to improve, and comments like yours help us keep working on them.
