Alcotraz London: Cell Block Two-One-Two is honestly one of the most entertaining, ridiculous, and brilliantly immersive nights out I’ve had in ages. From the second you step inside, the actors drag you straight into the story — no half‑hearted performances, they commit so hard you forget you’re in London and start wondering what crime you accidentally committed. The guards are hilarious, the warden is terrifying in the best way, and the whole smuggling‑your-booze-in routine had me giggling before we even got to our “cells”. The cocktails they make with your contraband are usually amazing… except mine, which tasted like it had been brewed in solitary confinement. I still drank it though because I’m not a quitter. The set design is spot‑on: gritty prison vibes, metal bars, orange jumpsuits, and cheeky little details everywhere. It genuinely feels like you’ve walked into a movie set. It’s chaotic, interactive, and full of moments where you’re laughing, shouting, and trying not to get caught by the guards. If you want a night that’s different, funny, and completely unforgettable, Alcotraz is absolutely worth it — even if your cocktail tastes like punishment. Smuggling seemed to come naturally to you Shannon Doherty! With your new found freedom, why not experience the crimes that led to serving time behind bars by smuggling liquor into the illicit Moonshine Saloon on your next trip to London or Liverpool!

I would recommend reading a fair few reviews of various ratings before booking. Overall, it was something different to do for a large group but... It's a total rip off to charge what they do considering you bring your own alcohol. It's not really a fully immersive experience in the way they advertise – it's more like watching a short performance. Aside from wearing the jumpsuits you're not really playing the part of the prisoners – god forbid you do anything harmlessly in character like cheer for the prisoner character/actress or boo the officer. You'll get firmly told off. To that point there was a member of staff (a tall man with mousey kind of hair who didn't seem to have an acting role nor a bar role) who was incredibly rude to our group and very intimidating in tone. That's absolutely not the way to behave with a group of females and not at all ok. He seemed on constant high alert for customers being rude or crossing the line with staff but even when nothing even remotely close to that happened (everyone was very well behaved), he seemed to take it upon himself to asert authority unnecessarily over a group of women. The only thing that could have been a little bit of fun and mildly immersive was filling out your parole card, however most of us were given pens that didn't work. We tried to get staff attention but they were all preoccupied and then just collected the cards back and were pretty dismissive of the fact most of us weren't able to fill them in. On a more positive note the cocktails they made with our booze were very tasty and frequently served. I thought they were delicious but some of our group wanted something less sweet. Price per person: £50–60

Hi Faye, we thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We pride ourselves on being good value for customers. Taking into account any additional costs of customers bringing their own alcohol our experience averages out at £11-12 per cocktail. This doesn't take into account the film-like setting as well as the immersive experience that unfolds. With regards to guests being the inmate character within the show, whilst this is part of the premise of the experience, we have to adhere to strict protocols for the safety of our staff and guests. Some guests unfortunately push the boundaries too far which in turn results in limiting behaviour. We take every piece of feedback seriously so will be sure to digest this all and implement changes where necessary.
