This was my first tasting menu experience and I LOVED everything from the gorgeous dinnerware to the thoughtful fusion of Filipino and Latin American flavors. Our servers did lovely jobs of explaining the dishes and attending to our needs. Highly recommended. I honestly do not understand how this restaurant has a good overall rating. We ordered the tasting menu, with wine pairing for some, and cocktails for others. What a disappointment... Although not very clear, on paper the menu is interesting. However it is badly executed: - All the dishes were much too salty, making some of them difficult to swallow. - The menu also does not flow. It felt like the aim was to serve any 10 courses, but without thinking about the journey. - Additionally, neither the wines nor the cocktails matched the dishes: too bad for a wine/cocktail pairing. - For such high prices, we would at least expect to get proper stories and explanations about the dishes. It was unfortunately not the case. The staff is kind, polite, helpful, and efficient but the explanations whether for the dishes, the cocktails or the wines were not clear. The place looks nice and trendy (instagrammable). But 8k php for a bad meal: I do not recommend. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱2,000+ Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

I very much enjoyed my dining experience at Alegria Manila. The food was fantastic, with the preparations being very meticulous and well thought out. The cocktails were also very good, and the bartenders listened to what we wanted. Definitely coming back here for another five star dining experience! Cheers!
