After visiting Lexington Public Library Ceiling Clock and Foucault Pendulum, you can look over the menu at this restaurant. Alfalfa is an ideal choice if you are in the mood for the Vegetarian cuisine. Try perfectly cooked tomato soup and good bisque. Ordering tasty pancakes and perfectly cooked biscuits is a nice experience here.
The success of this place wouldn't be possible without the well-trained staff. Prompt service is something that guests note in their comments. Expect the pleasant atmosphere at this spot.

We have visited Alfalfa multiple times over the past few months for brunch, and we have been consistently impressed. Although the space can become very crowded, the service is friendly, the portions are large, the atmosphere is unique, the prices are reasonable, and the brunch is spot-on.
Most recently, I ordered the biscuits and gravy, topped with fresh scallions and tomatoes (four buttermilk biscuits smothered in gravy), as well as a side of Stone Cross (Spencer Co., KY) bacon and an over-easy egg. My wife ordered the same, with a side of Stone Cross sausage. My brother-in-law ordered the French toast (four points of either whole wheat or potato bread dipped in egg and milk with sugar and spice, then cooked on the griddle; topped with powdered sugar and butter), which he thoroughly enjoyed. We will be returning soon!
