This was my beef sandwich. This is only half. It was amazing. Highly recommend. Nice little mom and pop shop. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Philly Cheese Steak

Algonquin Sub Shop is more of an institution than just your run-of-the-mill sub shop. It's been around for ages and I remember coming here when I was back in college. Its menu is inventive, they use fresh ingredients, and there is some charm. However, the wait time can be really long. I waited about 25 minutes for two sandwiches, some fries, and a soup. My husband's sandwich, (#25), the Texas Chili Rub, was flavorful and filling. My sandwich, (#15) tuna, was just meh. The bread was great, but the tuna was somewhat bland and had nothing pickled or salted on it, making it tasteless. However, the tomatoes and greens on top were ripe and delicious. The cream of chicken and rice soup didn't feel like it was salted or something. It was pretty bland. Maybe it was an off day.

Food is always tasty but slow food delivery and poor customer service No one with a personality. Take your clues from Chick fila. As they are happy to serve.
