The food is very delicious, the service is 10. We give it 4 stars only because the prices are slightly high if we take into consideration the ingredients that arrive, but I repeat, everything is delicious, I would return Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

In over 6 years of living in Italy I've only had a few mediocre meals and, until tonight, 2 other bad ones. I would have never imagined a restaurant in Italy would have potential to be on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares but Ristorante all'Olivo is hereby nominated. My hotel made the reservation at this "restaurant" as I was driving; had I first read the other reviews it would not have been my choice. Sometimes I read bad reviews from non-Italians and I think- oh maybe they are wrong. In this case: believe them. I've experienced much more love in the food and service from simple takeaway places. There is something seriously wrong in the dynamics of the staff of this restaurant. The servers really do stand around and talk to each other even as customers stare at them waiting for service. There is less than zero care- from start to finish. As a pasta addict- I ate a few bites of the mushy, disgusting pasta and tried to eat the overly salted fish and gave up. I've had better canned versions of the starter. But to top it off- when I went to pay without finishing my food they yelled at me and insulted me. UNBELIEVABLE. I was really loving Lucca and this was a huge buzz kill. It was all tourists there- always a bad sign. AVOID AVOID AVOID. I'm absolutely stunned how bad this experience was.
