A precious moment spent on the terrace of this restaurant, very quiet, with a view of the lagoon. The welcome is friendly, the value for money is impeccable. The island is accessible on foot from Burano, and the restaurant is in front of the vaporetto stop, but as everyone goes to Burano, the atmosphere is really peaceful... We had a wonderful lunch at the family operated Trattoria alla Maddalena in early October. It was a drizzly afternoon and the trattoria, as well as the staff, were warm and inviting. I had made reservations a few days in advance of our vaporetto ride to Mazzorbo/Burano. Our table was waiting for us. We both started with the risotto with go. It was wonderfully balanced and the texture was melt-in-your-mouth creamy. This was followed by the grilled monk fish, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The house wines by the 1/2 liter (red for me, white for my wife) made an excellent accompaniment. We topped the meal off by sharing a creme caramel. This was one of the best meals we've had in Venice and well worth the trip to the outer islands.
