I had a wonderful dinner here. The food is absolutely delicious because every single dish is cooked with heart by the owner himself. You can really taste the care put into the food, and it is vastly superior to mass-produced meals at chain restaurants. Please note that the owner runs the entire store completely by himself. He prepares and cooks each dish one by one, so the service can be a bit slow. If you are in a rush or starving, this might not be the right place for you. I noticed some negative reviews, but I truly believe they come from a cultural misunderstanding. This is a very small restaurant with limited seating. While there is no strict time limit on your stay, it is basic manners in Japanese culture to support small local spots by ordering a minimum of one dish and one drink per person. Even though they kindly provide free plain water, ordering a drink is the right etiquette here. If you appreciate authentic, slow-cooked food and want to respect the local dining culture, I highly recommend this hidden gem!
