When I go to Kobe Animal Kingdom, I always have a coffee at Alpa Cafe during my break time. You can drink coffee while being glared at by a shoebill (lol). It's a thick drip, so if you don't like it, there is also an American version, so go for that. Alpa Cafe mainly serves drinks and snacks, while Yamaneko Kitchen next door mainly serves rice and pasta, so be careful not to line up in the wrong place.
