Why even add the other piece of chicken I mean it’s bad enough that when I asked for a cherry soda, you gave me a cherry milkshake and wondering if I got overcharged for that Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Burger was okay (pretty average), milkshake was terrible. We ordered the huckleberry milkshake and are pretty sure we got the strawberry instead. When we asked about it, they denied that it was wrong even though it was pink. If you like artificially flavored milkshakes you might like the shakes. We were super bummed about the service/the milkshake, and wouldn’t go back. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Alpen Drive-In in Startup is a great spot to grab a burger and shake, whether you’re coming down from the pass or heading over the mountains for the weekend. It’s been around forever, and there’s something nostalgic about stopping here. They used to have those old 3D maps of the mountain ranges posted by the parking lot, which was always fun to check out. The burgers are always solid—I haven’t had a bad one yet. The fries are great, and their tartar sauce is a must. It’s the kind of place that hits the spot every time. If you’re in the area and looking for a good roadside burger joint, I’d definitely recommend stopping by. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
