Food is OK, not stellar but probably above average, and relatively generous. The Caesar is supposed to have "anchovies". When asking the waiter/kid why there aren't any...they dare saying "it's in the sauce". ...honestly...molecular or emulsified anchovies maybe? Prices are relatively expensive, by local standards, as well as international ones. But anyway, that's the market. Also, Alt-Shift surely benefits from being one of the (very) few downtown restaurants open after 22:00. Tourists beware, for some weird reason, in the last years, most restaurants shut down at 22:00, something which is completely incomprehensible for a capital like Bucharest. What is NOT OK is the service. Why? Because Alt Shift, like most if not all Bucharest restaurants, ***have replaced all professional waiters with ~20 year olds, who do not have any waiter qualification, do not show any interest in pleasing the guests***, and will do something else next year. Logically, no professional behavior may be expected. And it's not surprising...these kids are *not* the professional, qualified waiters which should attend to the customers. They just happen to be there for a side or bridge job, waiting for something better or the next step in life. And that is clearly visible in their attitude...they are "nice", but cleary not professional. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: lei 60–80
