I've been going to the "Alte Schlosserei" for years. Gladly with friends who want a typical tavern atmosphere. (My college friends who live in Singapore wouldn't want anything else.) There you get the typical German tavern dishes, albeit properly prepared: fried potatoes with bacon and onions, tasty sauces for the schnitzel (a decent portion). In terms of friendliness, the staff is well above average. We, like every customer, were also dismissed with a snap on the house. We look forward to the "open air" season. The decoration is worth seeing.
