Important Note: I’m only reviewing the restaurant. I haven’t stayed in their accommodations, so I can’t comment on that aspect with any honesty. That said, based on appearances alone, the accommodations look quite inviting. The view at Altezza is breathtaking and is easily the highlight of the experience. The rustic interiors add to the charm of the place and create the feel of a relaxing mountain retreat. Unfortunately, we found the food disappointing. The chopseuy was flavorful but noticeably oily. The kare-kare was underwhelming in terms of quantity and was served with pork belly, much of it on the fatty side. The shrimp paste served alongside it was good, but not enough to elevate the dish. The bulalo was hearty and traditional in flavor, but we felt it could have used more meat. The calamares was also disappointing and did little to improve our overall impression of the meal. One thing we couldn’t ignore was the number of flies. Since the restaurant is open-air, they were constantly hovering around our table and became an unpleasant distraction throughout the meal. One of the staff mentioned that the flies were likely coming from a nearby poultry farm (not affiliated with Altezza). While this may explain the situation, the presence of so many flies around dining tables raises significant hygiene and potential health concerns that are difficult to overlook. If you’re planning to stay overnight, the property itself is worth considering. It’s peaceful, and we can imagine waking up to a cool, slightly foggy morning with a view of Mt. Arayat would be a wonderful experience. However, if you’re driving all the way there primarily for the restaurant, we don’t think the trip is worth it for the food alone. Overall, Altezza offers beautiful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere, but the dining experience didn’t come close to matching the setting. The view is memorable; the food, unfortunately, is not. ALTEZZA CAFE PARKING We would like to raise a concern regarding an incident we experienced at your café today. When we arrived, we parked our motorcycle in a shaded area under a tree. There were other motorcycles parked in the same area, and there were no signs indicating that motorcycles were not allowed to park there. When we were about to leave around 2:00–2:30 PM, we discovered that our motorcycle had been moved to a spot directly under the sun. We later found out that one of the guards had moved it. What confused us was that ours was the only motorcycle moved despite other motorcycles remaining in the same area. When we asked about it, the guard explained that motorcycles were not allowed there. However, there was no signage indicating this rule, and it did not appear to be applied consistently. What disappointed us most was the guard's attitude. When we moved another motorcycle based on our assumption that it had taken our original spot, he immediately told us to put it back and said, "Paano pag may masira?" Yet he had moved our motorcycle without our permission and without showing the same concern. A simple explanation and apology would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt disrespected and dismissed as customers. We hope this feedback can be reviewed and that proper communication and customer service can be emphasized moving forward. Thank you for your time and attention. We would like to raise a concern regarding an incident we experienced at your café today. There is something so soul-soothing about a rustic escape. Between the mountain breeze of Mt. Arayat and the vintage charm of Altezza Restaurant, our hearts felt right at home. But let’s talk about the food because it was truly excellent! If you visit, the Pork Dinakdakan and Beef Salpicao are absolute must-tries—perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. A beautiful day with even better flavors. One recommendation though, is to add ramps. As the place is not that strollers or wheelchair friendly. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₱1–500 Parking space: Not sure Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Kid-friendliness: Lots of stairs. So be careful with kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Not that accessible as there is no ramp.
