We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Altius, seated by the window with a beautiful view of the city. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout the meal. We brought our 2.5-year-old and 3-month-old, and both the staff and other diners were incredibly welcoming. They even brought our son his own amuse-bouche. The house-made popcorn and complimentary bread were delicious, especially with the sun-dried tomato spread and specialty butter. The Heron Point crab toast featured fresh crab served on a soft baguette and was phenomenal. For our entrées, we enjoyed the perfectly cooked ahi tuna with delicious rice and sauce, as well as the sea bass special over risotto, which was among the best we’ve ever had. The complimentary chocolate tart was an excellent finish, and the shortbread raspberry cookies to take home were a thoughtful touch. Overall, Altius offers beautiful views, excellent food, attentive service, and a genuinely family-friendly atmosphere. While it is certainly a special-occasion restaurant, the experience was worth the price tag, and we would gladly return if we were in the area.
