Brilliant coffee and great staff! We use the pods in our business for both our staff and customers, and they always get great feedback. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this cafe! We had an amazing experience to visit Altura Coffee as we heard that they made good Mont Blanc here. Even though, the coffee experience was not as I expected (probably I am from Melbourne :D), but their service was absolutely a top notch! Beside that, what a beautiful vibe for a catch-up time , or even a space to work at. I can't recommend this cafe more. Thank you.

This was our first visit. As Adelaide locals and coffee lovers who’ve explored many cafés across the city, we drove quite a distance specifically for their Mont Blanc. We’ve had some excellent Mont Blancs in Melbourne, and we believe Adelaide has just as much potential — we’re always on the lookout for the best one here, which is why we made the effort to come and try this place. Upon arrival, the space looked promising, but the service was disappointing. The staff clearly saw us when we walked in, but there was no greeting at all — not even a simple “hello.” Both the barista and a staff member (with orange hair and tattoos) came across as quite cold, leaving us to awkwardly find our own seats. Aside from ordering and being served, there was essentially no interaction. At first, we thought this might just be the café’s vibe, until we noticed the staff chatting happily among themselves. What made it more confusing was that when someone who appeared to be the owner arrived, the atmosphere shifted immediately — the staff suddenly became warm and started greeting every new customer. The contrast made us feel quite unwelcome. We also noticed in previous Google reviews that some people described the owner as cold. However, during our visit, when the owner was present, he did smile and nod to customers. When we were leaving, he also said “thank you,” which did improve our overall impression slightly. We don’t expect over-the-top service, but basic hospitality is a given in Adelaide. Before coming, we had already checked that the café closes at 1:00 pm, so we were mindful of the time and made an effort to finish our drinks promptly. Despite that, the orange-haired staff member reminded us they were closing in 10 minutes and immediately started flipping chairs onto tables around us, which made us feel rushed out. The Mont Blanc was refreshing, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. It’s a shame when staff behaviour affects the overall atmosphere of a place.

Hi, thank you for taking the trip out to visit us specifically for the Mont Blanc. I’m sorry the service fell short. Not being greeted on arrival and feeling rushed at close isn’t how we want anyone’s visit to go, and I’m genuinely sorry that’s how it felt. I’ll be working through it with the staff who served you, particularly around how we manage the close-down routine. Stacking chairs around customers who are still enjoying their drinks shouldn’t be happening, and I appreciate you raising it. I’m also sorry the Mont Blanc didn’t quite hit the mark for you. We always want to know when something falls short. I’d really love the chance to discuss this further with you directly. As the business owner, hearing your experience first-hand would mean a lot to me, and I’d genuinely appreciate the opportunity to talk it through with you. You can reach me anytime at admin@alturacoffee.com.au. And if you’re ever willing to give us another try, please ask for Pasquale at the counter; your coffee will be on me, no strings attached.
