After having had an exceptional dinner at chef Damien’s previous restaurant, L’Atelier in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, we were excited to try his new place. Another amazing experience! The new restaurant feels fresh and inviting and Camille took great care of us throughout the evening. The high-level cooking remains: the beautiful earthy flavours of leek and mushrooms with poached egg, the freshness and surprising pairing of courgette with straweberries in combinations with some heartiness from smoked bacon and chorizo oil, a perfectly prepared côte de boeuf with just about the creamiest béarnaise sauce I have ever had and some delicious desserts (a rich one with chocolate, caramel and buckwheat ice cream and a fresh and fruity one with cherry sorbet and rice pudding with verveine crumble). We will definitely be back…often! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €90–100 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Paid street parking, Paid parking garage
