My girlfriend and I had a great time making our custom hats. The staff was fun. The live music that was supposed to arrive never did so it was quieter on a Saturday than normal. I had to pay $20 ($10 pp) for the hat appointment that I assumed would go towards the cost of the hats but they said it did not. For even the most exclusive places in town when you pay to make the reservation it is only charged if you don't show, or goes towards your service. I think this is a bad business practice to not apply the reservation amount to the service if two people show up and spend over $900 in 90 minutes. Good time and recommended for something different. I do love my hat too!

Absolutely a Denver Gem and must go to. Amazing vibes and experience. The staff is incredibly kind and you can tell they love what they do. Parker and Leisle made sure our experience was nothing short of perfect-customized and extremely knowledgeable about hats size and vibes this is a Denver experience not to miss.

Had a great experience at American Lore! The hat-making experience was fantastic, they really don’t push you to spends more than you want, which I appreciated. You can customize the hat material, color and shape. And then you can add branding like initials or various logos/shapes, ribbons, belts, etc. We had made an appointment, but I don’t think it’s necessary unless you go in when they are super busy. I highly recommend stopping in on a Friday or Saturday night to check out the live music! After making out hats, we hung out at the bar and drank some tequila cocktails (would recommend the “Regal Outlaw” if you like tequila), ate some bar nut mix and enjoyed the music. Such a gem of a spot on Tennyson!!
