I’ve been to around a hundred curry houses, many of them when I lived in Birmingham. I tend to look out for something a little bit different and Amma’s kitchen has a fantastic menu with about a dozen dishes I’ve never even heard of! This is my 3rd visit and it was as good as ever after following the waiter’s recommendation yet again. It’s the kind of place you wish you had your own personal menu so you can tick the dishes off, know what I mean? The interior is basic and on the small side but the service is excellent and the food is absolutely top drawer. I’ve visited this restaurant 4 times in recent months and each time I’ve been very impressed with the food, atmosphere and service:. Haff and staff were particularly helpful and careful serving delicious and ‘safe’ food to my friend who is a ceoliac. See you soon. Update:I recently dined in here and the food and service were excellent. The food was better than the takeaway experience. As a recent addition to Hoylake's numerous eating establishments, I though I'd try Amma's kitchen for a takeaway. The service on offer when ordered by phone and subsequent pickup was excellent. The restaurant interior (what I saw of it) looked very comfortable. Regarding the food, I can only speak for the chicken jalfrezi and chicken korahi from the specialities menu with plain naan, but the dishes were fine - up to, if not slightly better than most other takeaways I've tried in the area. Prices were very reasonable, with further discount available when ordering online; or it was available at the time of writing at least.
