On our way to Mountain Wine for a show, we had a hankering for fish and chips. Unfortunately. The food fish and chips mixed plate lacked flavor. There was absolutely no seasoning. If there was one grain of salt in the food I could not find it in the fried seafood or on the fries. Also the batter was soggy. Our server was great, but the food was just totally lacking. My family and I have been here twice, and it has been consistently impressive thus far. The ambiance is cozy, quaint, and welcoming. The service is exceptional, and the food is EXCELLENT. #1 rule to seafood is freshness, and they have NO issues here. The menu is simple, with a surprising variety of options. We had the fish n' chips, which was light, crunchy, and cooked perfectly. The tartar sauce is DEE-LISH. They also have a few variations to customize your dish. My son and I opted to order the bowls this time. Mine was teriyaki glazed salmon over rice and veggies. The flavor was punchy and smoky, and the plating was impressive. My son had the same dish but with prawns. My only feedback is that the vegetables would be better in heartier portions rather than micro cuts. But it was so good, the entire table ended up finishing this dish! We also ordered the fettuccine with prawns, and it did not disappoint either. They offer burgers and a couple of non-seafood options as well, and those are done well, too. Parking both times at 7pm-ish was no problem whatsoever, and they have patio seating as well. The pricing is fair ($87 tab for 3, with drinks) , and they offer a full bar and a happy hour. Match this with their excellent service, and it's a no-brainer. We'll be back!
