I don’t know why this restaurant have only 3,3 star. I very much enjoy it. Portion was good, in spaghetti with sea food there were more see food than pasta and it’s unusual Waiter was very professional and friendly. I do recommend to order a lemon sorbet - it’s amazing! The location is fantastic, but the food and service: oh dear! We both ordered fish soup for a starter, and it was pretty much cold as well as tasteless. The main constituent other than water was diced and nearly raw carrots. There was one solitary and small piece of grim-looking fish. When we complained to the waiter, the response was dismissive and from that point onwards we were largely ignored. The main courses were equally bland, and our attempts to draw the attention of the waiter were rebuffed. All that said, it is a fabulous location and as long as you're going in with very low expectations you will enjoy the view and the atmosphere, if not the food! Our dining experience at Restaurant Ancora in Rovinj was truly delightful! We want to express our sincere appreciation for the impeccable service, especially from our waiter Ivica. The charming ambiance and majestic view added to the wonderful evening. The fresh seafood salad was bursting with flavors, and the fresh fish plate was cooked to perfection. And let me tell you, the tiramisu was a heavenly treat that left us feeling truly satisfied. The restaurant's dedication to serving fresh and quality fish meals was evident in every bite. We wholeheartedly recommend Restaurant Ancora to anyone visiting Rovinj for a delightful culinary journey. Without a doubt, we'll be back for another memorable experience!
