The wife and I aren't usually brunch types, but we were feeling it on a Saturday. Since we were in the general vicinity, we decided to give Andiron Steak & Sea a try. We got to the restaurant a little after noon. The restaurant was fairly full, but we were able to be seated immediately. Andiron's space was bright and airy and evoked what I imagined to be a Miami or the Hampton's vibe in the desert. While it was 5 o'clock somewhere, I was driving so I went with some much-needed coffee. The wife and I shared an order of the Burrata & Prosciutto. We received a healthy dollop of fresh burrata atop a lightly dressed bed of greens and sugar peas with thinly-sliced prosciutto. It was light with a nice contrast of flavors and textures and a perfect start. For my entrée, I had the Lobster Roll. In truth, I thought it was a bit on the small side for its $19 price and maybe not a good sign when the pile of potato chips was roughly the same size as the actual lobster roll. However, it possessed all of the lobster-y goodness that I was hoping to find. The roll was fresh and was the perfect medium for the diced chunks of tender lobster. I was satisfied. Service throughout our meal was attentive as our water glasses and cups of coffee were kept topped off. Andiron Steak & Sea was a good choice for brunch. I'd gladly do it again. I'd also like to revisit for dinner.
