Very ordinary, maybe I ordered the wrong dishes! Caprese just a lump of mozzarella, a few cherry tomatoes, a bit of rocket. Just a tiny sprig of basil. Salmon rather tasteless served with a minimum of vegetables, 4 pieces of carrot, 2 of broccoli, and a couple of boiled potatoes. I travel to Cologne several times a year for work and try to stop at Angelo Trattoria every time I’m in town. Last week, I had the pleasure of bringing two guests with me — my girlfriend and her sister. As always, the food was delicious, the ambiance lovely on a cold, rainy night, and the service was impeccable. The restaurant is owned and operated by an Italian couple, and they always make you feel at home. I highly recommend speaking to them in Italian, if you can (a few basic phrases go a long way!). I recommend the caprese to start, literally any of the main dishes, tiramisu for dessert, and, of course, sambuca to top it all off. Cinque stelle! Grazie mille!
