This place is amazing. Had the OG fish and chips and cauliflower wings. They definitely know their batter! Light, fluffy, yet delightfully crispy. Also highly recommend their mussels and clams in garlic butter wine sauce. And for the price, it was some of the better seafood we’ve had in the city. Definitely earned multiple repeat visits in the future. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: CA$40–50 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips with Sides, Cauliflower Bites, Sweet Heat Cauliflower, Sprouts, Clams and Mussels

I had wanted to try this restaurant for a long time and was kicking myself for not going sooner! My husband and I finally arrived there on July 30/23, we were greeted within a minute of arrival and thankfully the weather was great and we chose to eat on the patio which was cozy and well laid out. We ended up ordering the clam chowder which was amazing! Thick, rich and creamy just as it should be in my opinion! Followed by fish & chips which my husband really enjoyed, the crab cakes which were my favourite, no filler, all flavour! and the shrimp dumplings which were a very close second for favourite! We finished up with the crab dip which was quite yummy! Unfortunately we didn't leave room for dessert but we look forward to returning to try more menu items and we'll know to save room for a deep fried mars bar!!

What a wonderful neighbourhood spot straddling Leslieville, Riverdale, and the Pocket. In the newly "hot" foodie destination of Gerard and Jones (what? seriously? Yup!) finally a high quality seafood eatery opens. Chad and his crew proved their mettle at their previous resto on Broadview, and frankly it's a gift that they've renewed their passions for food service and indeed have dialed it up to 11. We had the gluten free options which are plentiful and downright delicious. Started with the Crabcakes (a definite oh my god food moment) with the sweet potato fries, then had the fantastic Spring greens Caesar, and the Sweet Sprouts, which are basically Brussels sprouts permeated with maple syrup. We were going to order a main but chose instead to have another plate of oh my god. The aps were more than enough to fill us up and paired well with the Niagara cider, a crisp dry can of Apple goodness.
The food was outstanding, the prices reasonable (out the door for 2 under 100), and the ambience is great.
As other reviewers have said, what seals the deal is the friendly, attentive, conscientious service by Chad and his team who obviously place great value on the interpersonal experience. We left feeling full, satisfied, and totally happy. It's a definite downside for us that Anglr is walking distance from our home - might as well just direct deposit our paycheques right into their account. We'll absolutely be regulars.
