We did not know what to expect. Both bad and good reviews out there... Roger was our host and he was excellent! We had hummus as a cold starter. Excellent! One hot starter - Wild Eggplant with filet and Cajun sauce was used as a meal. I think that it will be a regular for us! Grilled vegetables were added to our meal to round it out. The other meal was a 10 oz filet with mushroom gravy wrapped with bacon. They were a bit overly optimistic by only supplying a butter knife to cut the meat. A few places could have used a steak knife. The bacon was a bit raw IMHO. But, everything was delicious and tender!! Had a side salad with the filet. Lettuce, tomatoes and onion with a house dressing. Okay.. All in all, we WILL be back! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: PAB 30–35

We love Angus House - one of our favorite places to go for lunch when we have to go to David (from Boca Chica). The decor, service and ambiance are very clean, quiet and welcoming, it is also comfortable and the lighting is excellent. But the reason we go there is the food - the burgers are large and cooked perfectly to our directions, every time. The French fries are especially crisp and delicious. We’ve also tried their steak dishes (several kinds!) - the meat is always tender and very tasty and we also couldn’t; resist the octopus carpaccio which was wonderful! We highly recommend Angus House for either lunch or dinner.
