I love coming here! Their team is amazing, Selia is the most personable bartender, and the manager Francisco always takes great care of me. The beautifully curated but laid-back atmosphere of the hotel makes for a great location and their passion fruit martinis are the best! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A Mediterranean plant very common in Southern Europe, Russia and certain other countries "Anise" couldn't have a better name! To say Anise is a diamond addition to this private community is an understatement. From the top down the Anise at the Drey Hotel is an exceptional standard of world class hospitality, ambiance and comfort. The chef in the kitchen has done an excellent job at creating flavors from a herb forward menu, vegetable rich and worldly flavor. The crispy fresh falafel, the white beans, the brunch menu, the cocktails freshly shaken by Mike, the fantastic leadership from Amelia as she coaches and encourages her staff to be as hospitable as possible...it's all just incredible. Mike truly goes above and beyond to understand his customer and make the perfect drink. Always a pleasant experience being served by him. Here are the specific details of our experience: After getting engaged in Switzerland of all the places in the world to host our engagement party, we chose The Drey Hotel and this diamond of a place "Anise " . They truly made us feel special. Amelia ensured that our party's dietary needs which included Gluten Free & Vegan were accommodated. Anthony took care of our dinner service and he was smart & attentive. Incredible service. The service provided by Christina in the bar was spectacular. She's brilliant. An exceptional, transcendent talent. Her amiable personality, and experience shines like well.. a diamond. She made our guests feel special and attended to their dietary needs and accommodated substitutions, happily. To be frank, it was the best service I've ever received from a bartender or server, ever anywhere in the world and if you follow our travel accounts, you know we've been to some of the best restaurants in the world. IG listed below. Professionals like Christina really make places shine and Anise is fortunate to have her. We could tell she was very busy and yet made all of us feel very special. When under pressure, character shows and she's a true testament to professionalism. I'm thoroughly impressed and can see this place really becoming a staple for us. My only recommendation would be they increase their Gluten Free & Vegan options. As avid world travelers we can confidently say many worldly restaurants like this one have adopted the "healthier" alternatives as part of their menu and are doing very well. This restaurant and hotel does remind us of some restaurants and stunning hotels we've experienced in our seasonal world travels such as in Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, Italy, Croatia, Andorra, Bahamas...etc too many to mention... The Village Dallas hires the best of the best...and the Anise & Drey Hotel really showcase that. Come here on a Sunday for brunch and order mimosas and day brunch... or put on your dinner jacket and dress, enjoy cocktails and dinner. You will be pleasantly surprised. The leadership displayed by Amelia and her staff is evident and the cocktail talent from Mike & Christina is noteworthy. Impressive. An ace in my book. Thank you Anise & Thank you Drey Hotel for taking care of our guests. You've accomplished the standard of world class hospitality. Congratulations.
