This was a charming place with delicious roste and fondue, though they have a wide variety of food on the menu. I have no familiarity with these dishes, but thought the rosti could be crispier and more than bread offered with the fondue. Everything tasted quite good and the Schwenke beer complimented the food beautifully. We sat inside to hide from the wasps and it was warm, but not unpleasantly so. The service was quite good and her English was better than our German, thankfully. The best Rösti. I was skeptical when I first saw the dish but I devoured that rösti within few minutes. Affordable price and even better food portions. The beer was meh.. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Anker is a great place to enjoy traditional local cuisine in Bern. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. Sitting there, you can really feel the character of the city, with the constant flow of modern electric trams passing by. I started to think Bern might have more trams than people! A very pleasant dining experience and well worth a visit. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 50–60 Parking space: Difficult to find parking
