This was certainly a no-holds-barred treat-yo'self type of evening. My wife and I split the buffalo chicken fries and onion rings. The buffalo chicken fries were pretty darn good; they had just enough spice to them to give them a fun kick. The onion rings were solid too; they came out piping hot and fresh. Not sure what they do to their batter, but the flavor is fantastic and had a good texture (sometimes onion rings get too crispy and hard and the onion comes right on out; not with these).
I then moved on to the patty melt. This was a bomb no-frills burger. Ground beef, mayo, cheese, Texas toast, awesomeness. The meat was well seasoned and the Texas toast buttery. For around $7, you couldn't ask for a much better burger in my opinion.
Because we clearly hadn't consumed enough fried food for the evening, we moved right along to an order of fried oreos. The order came with 5 of these delights and were coated in powdered sugar. Again, amazeballs. Their batter here is just good.
Something I hadn't mentioned before, the service was simply delightful! We had a friendly server and the other staff-members were quite chummy and conversational as well. We even somehow wound up drumming up conversation with the table next to us; that pretty much never happens.
This whole experience ran us for about $30 before tip, which is a slam-dunk deal in my book. Overall, I definitely enjoyed my experience here at Anna Wesley's Restaurant and would certainly recommend trying it yourself!
