I had to share this because it genuinely turned my whole day around. I was stuck at my accommodation in Taksim and couldn’t use any of the food delivery apps due to issues with my foreign phone number. After trying multiple options without success, I reached out to Dafne Cafe & Kitchen and that’s where Tolga stepped in. Even though they don’t normally offer delivery, Tolga went completely out of his way to help me. He patiently coordinated everything, made sure my order was clear, and arranged for the food to be delivered right to my door. The level of care and willingness to help a stranded traveller was honestly above and beyond anything I expected. The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, comforting and exactly what I needed. What really stood out, though, was the kindness. It’s one thing to run a good restaurant, but it’s another to show that level of genuine hospitality when it’s not required. If you’re in Istanbul, especially around Cihangir, I can’t recommend Dafne Cafe & Kitchen enough. And if you’re lucky enough to be helped by Tolga, you’ll understand what I mean.
