I'm posting this on a Wednesday at 846pm. The website says they close at 10pm. I started the online process at 730pm. I placed an online order for delivery that was not only rejected twice but there are now 2 pending charges on my debit card. I called the restaurant 3 times and the phone rang and rang. Poor customer service is an understatement. This location is not even 10 mins from my house. You will never see me ordering from here again. If I could do negative stars, I would. AND I tip well!

My sister lives in a small town in lower Alabama. They have three restaurants. When I visit, she'll recommend one of them, and when I ask if they're any good, she always smiles and replies "It's not bad". .. From my sister I have learned to NEVER eat at a place described as "It's not bad", because, it is almost always not good either. There's simply too much gray area in the description "It's not bad". Truthful? Yes. Good? No. The reviews of Anthony's are good, 4.5 stars. Ah, Google reviewers, you fooled me again... I ordered two large single-topping pizzas and an order of garlic cheese bread. I threw away one and three-quarters pizzas and an order of garlic cheese bread. One pepperoni pizza, one mushroom pizza. First Impression - Appearance: Someone took the order of "one pepperoni pizza" and "one mushroom pizza" literally. These looked like they had ONE pepperoni on the pizza and ONE mushroom on the other pizza. Technically, they weren't wrong... Second Impression - Taste: Both pizzas had sauce that was salty even for smoked herring. I'm taking the pizza across the street, not from Britain to India on a schooner in the 1700's... Arrrr, gimme me mead boy, I be eatin' Anthony's pizza... Third Impression - Texture: Oil. Lots of oil. While the center of the pizza was practically uncuttable due to it, the car is ready for the trip home and the door hinges on the closets no longer squeak. Cheesy garlic bread. I would describe it but just look at the picture. Any oil left that didn't make it on the pizzas ended up in the bread. It was so soggy with oil (or oil-flavored butter), I couldn't bring myself to even take a bite. Instead, I showed it mercy and just put it out of its misery. Lastly, I was informed they will be moving. The building is being torn down, and when they know where they're moving to, they'll let us know. Yeahhhhh.... I don't want to know. Let's keep it a secret and I'll pretend you've hidden yourself so well I just can never find you... Anthony's Italian Restaurant & Pizza. It's not bad.
