Qualche anno fa, quando venivo al ristorante Antica Roma (che allora si trovava in un altro quartiere), veniva offerto pane artigianale con aceto balsamico: un gesto semplice, ma apprezzabile, che aiutava ad affrontare l’attesa del cibo. Oggi sono tornato dopo diversi anni e mi ha sorpreso constatare che questa consuetudine non esiste più. Lo considero un dettaglio negativo da parte del proprietario del ristorante e mi è dispiaciuto vedere che questa tradizione sia andata persa. Per il resto, il cibo è buono. // A few years ago, when I used to visit the Antica Roma restaurant (which was located in a different neighborhood at the time), they used to serve artisanal bread with balsamic vinegar. It was a small but thoughtful gesture that helped make the wait for the food more pleasant. Today, after several years without coming back, I returned and was surprised to find that this practice is no longer in place. I find this a disappointing detail on the part of the restaurant’s owner, and it made me sad to see that this tradition has been lost. Aside from that, the food is good.
