Strolled in randomly, during their soft opening...saw a sign for Guatemalan Tamales and decided to try it out =) The tamale was perfect, with plenty of filling and a great taste.  They let us sample their hibiscus tea and butternut squash soup (we were impressed with both). If they can pull this off during a soft opening, I can't wait to see what they come up with after settling in.  We'll definitely be back =)

I visited Antigua Cafe with my assistant on a Tuesday afternoon. It's a quaint shop by Buffalo Firehouse. We ordered two cups of organic Guatemalan coffee. It was potent with no hint of bitterness. Greggory was very hospitable. He took time to explain the menu and the history behind the food.

You should come here because this place is awesome. It's one of those hidden gems where the owner comes out to chat with you, the food is healthy and flavorful, there's an outdoor patio (pet friendly), homemade pesto, and they even have organic coffee from somewhere in South America. I had the Caprese sandwich, a cup of tomato basil soup, and a glass of Argentinean Malbec. (Don't forget to dip the sandwich in the soup!) I saw the menu had traditional and WATERMELON/HIBISCUS sangria and ceviche that I will def try next time. Antigua is good cafe to chat with other people or be a loner. Try this place with friends, your dog, a book, or come wine tasting on a date for dinner then stroll the area after.
