Stepped out of the rain into Antonio's and wished we were eating in the restaurant. Cosy candle-lit atmosphere with welcoming staff. But takeaways were the order of the day. Got 2x half-and-half pizzas to maximise our pizza trial. Enjoyed the thin base. The simpler toppings were our fav - Margherita, Pepperoni. The buffalo mozzarella was good too. We enjoyed the pizza - but for a specialty restaurant it was "ok". Eating it in the restaurant straight from the pizza oven would have definitely been better than takeaway. Will try again. There are new owners so give them a chance and see what you think!
I always stop in at Antonio's pizza when I'm in HB. The service is variable but Tony is always there cooking up a storm. He's a legend in the bay. The pizza is good - but goes soggy if taken home - as they are a bit heavy on toppings. Fresh salads. Dining in is highly recommended. Nice wine list. Definitely recommend as you feel like you are in little Italy!
